IOC commenced operations by representing one of the leading International Container Leasing Companies at the time viz. Transamerica Leasing Inc. USA, which was one of the major suppliers of Marine Containers to the National Carrier Ceylon Shipping Corporation which commenced its Containerized Services to Europe and UK/Continents in the early 1980s. It was thereafter, that IOC embarked on Trading and Domestic Leasing of Marine Containers.  In the years since, our activities have grown to make us a leading Container Solution Provider in Sri Lanka.  We believe that our experienced and dedicated team which includes IICL (Institute of International Container Lessors – USA) qualified Marine Container Surveyors are able to make arrangements to cater to customer requirements of General Purpose and Reefer Containers at any location in Sri Lanka.

In 2017 a fully-fledged Freight Forwarding, NVOCC & ISO Tank Agency have been setup to offer services to Foreign Principals and Local Exporters/Importers.  Being part of McLarens Logistics Group, enables IOC to provide International Principals, integrated solutions using the group’s Transport arm, Inland Container Depot, Freight Station, ISO Tank Cleaning Station, Project Cargo Lashing & Handling Division.
